Product Overview
CH-46 Phrog “Decade of Service” - Commemorative Patch - Department of State Airwing Afghanistan
3.5” Height. Hook and Loop Backing.
The CH-46 started service in Afghanistan in 2011 and continued flying until 2021 when they assisted in the evacuation of Kabul. The numbers around the edge are the side numbers of every Phrog on the Program that has flown in Afghanistan since 2011. The side numbers correlate with the last 3 of their BUNO numbers. Every one of these aircraft lived their final days in Afghanistan. None ever returned home and 7 of them still sit where we shut them down for the last time. They should not be forgotten. They treated us better than we treated them.
